A Horse to Water

There is an old saying which goes…

“You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink.”

You and I can tell people about the Lord until we’re blue in the face but we can’t make them believe…

John 6:29

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

John 7:37, 38

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”

You and I can lead people to the Living Water but we can’t make them drink.

But that shouldn’t stop us from trying…

Matthew 28:19, 20

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
