Vantage Point

Number 21:8-9
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.” And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

When Moses lifted up the bronze serpent anyone who looked to it lived.

And it did not matter from where they looked. Some looked from the left and some looked from the right; some looked from in front and some looked from behind; some looked from up close and some looked from far back.

No matter their vantage point they all lived.

John 3:14, 15
“As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.”

When you and I look to Jesus we will live.

And it does not matter from where we look. Some of us will look from the left and some of us will look from the right; some of us will look from in front and some of us will look from behind; some of us will look from up close and some of us will look from far back.

No matter our vantage point we will all live.

Sometimes two believers may not see things in exactly the same way and they may even disagree on a particular issue. But this does not mean that one is right and one is wrong. It means that they both see Jesus from a different vantage point.

But as long as they look to Jesus they both will live.

So…

From what vantage point do you see Jesus?
