At The Movies

An analogy…

Did you ever go to the movies and see one you liked so much that you went back to see it again? Only this time you brought a friend who hadn’t seen it before?

And remember how during the movie you would drop hints to your friend telling him what was about to happen?

Matthew 24:29-31

“But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.”

Jesus has seen the movie, He knows how it ends. And He gives you and me hints which tell us what is about to happen.

John 13:19

“From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He.”

And the reason Jesus tells us what will happen before it comes to pass is so that you and I might believe that He is who He says He is.
