Fishers of Men

Mark 1:16, 17

As He was going along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Some of Jesus’ disciples were fishers of fish but after following Jesus they had become fishers of men.

As you and I follow Jesus we too will become fishers of men.

Matthew 28:19, 20

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

After following Jesus the Apostles were able to go out into the world and make disciples of all the nations. They taught the nations what Jesus had taught them.

As you and I follow Jesus we too will be able to go out into the world and make disciples of all the nations. We too will be able to teach the nations what Jesus has taught us.
