Clean

It is not something that we have done or said that makes us clean.

John 15:3, 4a

“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you.”

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

It is the word which Jesus has spoken to us that makes us clean.

It is Jesus (the Word) who abides in us that makes us clean.

John 14:16, 17

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.”

It is the Holy Spirit who abides in us that makes us clean.

John 14:11a

“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me;”.

It is the Father who abides in us that makes us clean.

It is not something that we have done or said that makes us clean.

It is the Word, it is Jesus, it is the Holy Spirit, it is the Father who abides in us that makes us clean - we have no cleanliness of our own.
