Electricity

Luke 24:49

“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

An analogy…

Jesus is a Light Bulb, the Father is a nuclear Power Plant and the Holy Spirit is the Electricity which flows from the Power Plant to the Light Bulb.

John 12:49

“For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.”

It was the Electricity of the Holy Spirit which gave Jesus the power and the authority to say the things that Jesus said and do the things that Jesus did.

And in like manner you and I are light bulbs and it is the Electricity of the Holy Spirit which gives us the power and the authority to say the things we say and do the things we do.

1 Corinthians 3:16

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Jesus is a Conduit through whom the Father works His works by the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in Him.

And in like manner you and I are conduits through whom the Father works His works by the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
