Fallen in Love
Have you ever been fortunate enough to find that one right person who literally consumes your life and your thoughts?
If you have been so fortunate to find that one right person would the thought of being unfaithful to them ever even enter your mind?
John 14:15
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
The reason you and I are to keep Jesus’ commandments is because by keeping them we will find Jesus, we will find that one right person. And when you and I truly find Jesus we will fall in love with Him and He will consume our lives and our thoughts.
And once you and I have fallen in love with Jesus the thought of being unfaithful to Him will never even enter our mind.
Matthew 22:37, 38
And He said to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.”
Keeping the Lord’s commandments is like a two-way street, we keep His commandments in order to fall in love with Him and once we have fallen in love with the Lord we will automatically keep His commandments.
If you or I are having trouble keeping the Lord’s commandments it is because we have not fallen in love with Him (yet).
