Showered with Gifts

Matthew 7:9-11

“Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!”

Our loving heavenly Father showers us with gifts every day of our lives…

Luke 10:38-40

Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations;

The only problem is that we have become so caught up in the “busy-ness” of our every day routines that we have become distracted and don’t even notice these gifts let alone open them.

You and I must learn to slow down and set ourselves apart from the hustle and bustle of every day life so we can recognize the gifts that the Father rains down upon us.
