Head of the Table

Philippians 3:4b-6
If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.

John 17:3
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

It is not what we know that will get us into the kingdom of God but rather it is who we know that will get us into the kingdom of God.

And so you and I must ask ourselves the following two questions…

1. Do I know Jesus?

2. How well do I know Jesus?

Luke 13:29
“And they will come from east and west and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.”

Knowing Jesus will get us in the door of the kingdom of God but it is how well we know Jesus that will determine our place at the table in the kingdom of God.

So…

How well do you know Jesus?

Will you be sitting at the head of the table?

Or will you be sitting way up in the bleachers?
